Description:

On the mythical island of Emberland, you must navigate your recently formed band of heroes to cross the rugged terrain in an attempt to defeat warring factions and ancient beasts to become the newest ruler of Emberland.

In Emberlands, players control a faction of heroes from medieval times looking to complete quests and defeat warring factions to score 25 points and become the new ruler of Emberland. The board is modular, composed of hexes in various terrain types. Each hex has either an ember designation, terrain boost, or historic site. Players move their heroes across the board in an attempt to complete quests, defeat enemies, and amass the most points.

Description:

In ancient prehistoric times, you have discovered a new land with plentiful lakes, mountains and forests (and apparently many stone rocks that shall be called dice). Your people can develop new things like basketry or find oxen or simply GROW and conquer neighboring tribes.

In Rise of Tribes, players control a tribal faction in prehistoric times looking to GROW, MOVE, GATHER, and LEAD their people. The board is modular, composed of hexes in various terrain types. Each hex has a population limit. Players manage the number of tribe members they place on any one hex to either trigger or avoid conflict.

Description:

Moonrakers is a game of shipbuilding, temporary alliances, and shrewd negotiation set in a space-faring future. The players form a loose band of mercenaries, but while they are united in name, actual alliances are shaky as players are pitted against each other in the quest to become the new leader of the Moonrakers.

Moonrakers is a deck-building game in which players choose Contracts to attempt alone or with Allies in order to gain Prestige and Credits. After negotiating terms with Allies, players use their decks of Action cards to play different cards to fulfill the requirements on each Contract. Each type of Action card has additional effects to aid players in attempting Contracts.

Rules & Scoring

The Tournament will be held in 4 stages consisting of 3 rounds playing each of the 3 games we have voted to be this year’s games.

Games will go in order of most votes for the first round. The leader at the end of the first round will then set the schedule for the 2nd round, and the leader after the 2nd round will choose the schedule of the 3rd round.

Games will be played on Scheduled dates unless voted on by the players.

Base versions and standard rules will be used for all gameplay.

The winner of each game will receive 3 points, 2nd place will receive 2 Points, and the 3rd place will receive 1 Point.

Each game will have an MVP who will be voted on by the players for their exceptional gameplay or memorable actions, they will receive 1 point.

In December the person with the most points from the previous 3 rounds will choose a Final Game which will have special scoring to allow all players a chance to catch up and capture the L’Hotel DuMont Cup!
